Boys Youth Lax

Season: April 21th Sat.- June 16th Sat. (End of season tournament at CBA)
Monday and Thursday Evenings 6:00 - 7:30 Practice session or game
Saturday Mornings 10:00-12:00 Some practices, mostly games

Program Goals: The Ballston Spa spring lacrosse league provides boys of all skill levels the opportunity to learn to play the game of lacrosse in an instructional setting. Safety, sportsmanship, and participation will be stressed at all times. We are a participant of the Capital District Youth Lacrosse League and play competitive games vs. other schools.

Coaching Staff: Kevin Dayton and Patrick Grevelding, lacrosse coaches at the High School, are the directors of the program. Coach Paone and Coach Gargiulo are head coaches. Any other parents who are interested in helping with team responsibilities are welcome to attend. We are looking to have 2 teams at each level with a roster of 20 players on each team.

Site: Ballston Spa High School athletic front fields on Ballston Ave (some games may be played in back of HS depending on field availability) A schedule of games and practices will be handed out and some games are played at away sites in the capital region.

Equipment: Players must provide their own sticks and mouthguards. Required protective equipment (Helmets, gloves, arm and shoulder pads) will be available to borrow for the season. Players are encouraged to obtain and use their own equipment, but it is not necessary.

Insurance: All players must fill out a US Lacrosse membership form for insurance coverage.- mandatory for participation.
